Manchester Print Fair No.12

Part of Design City Fair 2016
When: 15-16th October 2016
Where: London Road Fire Station

This was a special weekend in the event's history where we celebrated our fifth birthday! We hosted over 100 creatives alongside Manchester Artist Book Fair as part of Design Manchester's Design City Fair.

This was our third collaboration with the festival, which has quickly become one of the staple events in the city's cultural calendar.

It included:
• Over 7,400 visitors
• Workshops from GF Smith, Hot Bed Press & Red Button Press
• 3 minute portraits hosted by Fred Aldous
• Live art from Dave Gee
• Heritage paper exhibition from GF Smith

Our venue, London Road Fire Station, also reached a landmark year. Opened in September 1906, the building closed during the 1980's and fell into disrepair after a severe lack of care from developers. After many campaigns to save the building, the city council finally stepped in to help and this year was taken over by Allied London.

It was a privilege to be part of the building's 110 year history, and we look forward to the building continuing to thrive.

A huge thank-you to Design Manchester, GF Smith, Fred Aldous for your continued support and Allied London for hosting us.
